Sunshine Square Redevelopment to Include a New 54,000 Square Foot Publix for Boynton Beach, FL

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Edens & Avant, one of the nation's leading retail real estate owners and developers, announces the September 2012 opening date for an expansive, new Publix at its Sunshine Square retail center in Boynton Beach, FL.. The centerpiece of the multi-million dollar redevelopment - the new 54,000 SF Publix - will be more integrated into the overall center, one aspect of a larger plan to improve shopper circulation that also includes enhanced vehicular and pedestrian access. Along with the site improvements, Sunshine Square will also benefit from several retail and restaurant additions as well as being the site of a unique public art gift to the local community. The existing Publix store is scheduled to close September 24.

Currently 93 percent leased, Sunshine Square's existing merchandise mix includes long-time retailers and restaurants Boynton Beach Diner, Crown Wine & Spirits and Boynton Postal and Gift. New additions include Pet Supermarket, TD Bank, AT&T, a self-serve yogurt shop as well as new restaurants that will be announced in the coming months. During Sunshine Square's redevelopment, Publix shoppers are urged to visit the neighboring Publix just three miles south on US Highway 1 at North Delray Commons.
