BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- EDENS, one the nation's leading retail real estate owners and developers, announced today its acquisition of the Cabin John Shopping Center and Mall in Potomac, Maryland. The center's 48-year history and strong ties to the Montgomery County community make it an excellent addition to the company's portfolio.

Originally developed in 1968 and previously owned by the Carl M. Freeman Companies, Cabin John is a 214,204 square foot center located at the intersection of Seven Locks Road and Tuckerman Lane. It is anchored by major retailers Giant and CVS and contains an array of community favored retail shops and restaurants, as well as several professional services.
Cabin John Shopping Center and Mall is the newest addition to the EDENS portfolio, which counts more than 120 centers nationally and 35 centers in the Washington, D.C. MSA, including Union Market, City Vista in Washington, D.C., Mosaic in Fairfax, and the 530 First Street project in Alexandria, Virginia.
